1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Read More (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service.
2. Description of Service
Read More is a social book-tracking application that allows users to track their reading, organize books into shelves, follow other readers, write reviews, and discover new books. The Service is currently available as a mobile application on iOS. A web experience is not available at this time.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must sign in using a supported OAuth provider (Google or Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, including reviews, shelf names, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating the Service.
You agree not to submit User Content that:
- Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
- Infringes any intellectual property rights
- Contains spam, malware, or other harmful code
- Impersonates any person or entity
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans
6. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, shelves, reviews, reading activity, and all other associated data. This action is irreversible.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Read More and its licensors. Book metadata, cover images, and descriptions are provided by third-party services (e.g., Google Books) and remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, READ MORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
